Meet Dr. Chris A. Freels

Dr. Chris A. Freels was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, and is proud to call the Rio Grande Valley home. Dr. Freels grew to appreciate the importance of community service from his father, Dr. Billy Freels, who was a very active member of the community and the Boys and Girls Club. Dr. Freels attended Sharyland schools and graduated from Sharyland High School in 1992, where he was actively involved with several academic organizations.

After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in May 2002, Dr. Freels went on to complete a two year orthodontic residency program where he received extensive training in the most advanced orthodontic treatment methods available to date. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Freels received board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005 and is one of a few orthodontist in the state to be board certified.

Dr. Chris A. Freels is also a husband and loving father. He and his wife are proud parents of three children.

Dr. Freels has very strong convictions to serve the children of the Rio Grande Valley. His level of involvement as a student only reinforces his genuine interest in community service. He is committed to ensuring that all under served children of the Valley are given the opportunity to further their education and succeed in their lifelong goals. Dr. Freels is a member of the board of directors for Rio Grande Regional Hospital and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has been a proud volunteer of the Boys & Girls Club baseball department. 

Dr. Freels has provided service to the people of the Valley since 2004 and is looking forward to many more!
